Before you book

Image consulting, explained.

An image consultant looks at how you come across as well as what you wear: colours and shapes that suit you, grooming, presence, and dressing for a role, a new job or a public moment.

Sessions are often sold as a package (colour, style and a wardrobe edit or shopping), and many consultants also work with companies on dress codes and presentation.

What to ask

  • What the package includes, step by step
  • Whether it’s for work, personal style or both
  • What you keep afterwards (a style guide, a palette, notes)
  • Whether they work with men as well as women
What does a personal stylist do?

Closetboard for iPhone

Your stylist, inside your closet.

A stylist works best when they can see what you already own. Closetboard puts your whole wardrobe on your phone, cut out and ready to pin into outfits, so a session in Paris or over video starts with your real clothes, not a rail of new ones.

  • Share your closet with your stylist. They see every piece you own and build looks from them on a board, between appointments too.
  • Say yes or no to each look. Looks they make for you arrive in their own album, with their notes beside your pieces.
  • Pieces they suggest land in your wish list, where you can try them against what you own before buying.
  • Keep it going on your own. Style me finds outfits you’ve never worn together, for the day’s weather, from the same closet.

For stylists

Run your client work in Closetboard.

Stylist mode gives you a client list, each client’s closet on your phone, your own booking website, a diary that keeps itself and your invoices, in the same app your clients use. 14 days free. Already listed here? Claim your listing and it becomes your booking page.

Questions

Good to know.

What should I ask before booking?

What the package includes, step by step. Whether it’s for work, personal style or both. What you keep afterwards (a style guide, a palette, notes). Whether they work with men as well as women. And look at their own work first: a stylist’s portfolio or Instagram tells you more about their eye than their prices do.

Can I book an image consultant online?

Yes: 1 of the 6 stylists here also work over video, so you don’t need to be in Paris. You show them your wardrobe on camera or in photos.

Are these stylists paid to be listed?

No. Every listing comes from the stylist’s own public website, nobody pays to be here or to be higher up, and the order is alphabetical. Closetboard takes no fee when you book.

More near you.

Listings come from stylists’ own websites and were last checked on 21 October 2026. Closetboard isn’t paid by them and takes no fee. Is this your business? Claim it, or ask us to change or remove it.
